Mälarsalen AB occupies approximately 6,000 m2 of the former brewery space. The building itself is owned and operated by AFA Fastigheter which itself is owned by LO and Svenskt Näringsliv.  AFA own and operate 45 different properties in Stockholm with over 405,000 m2. Other companies which rent space from them are for example Handelsbanken, Telia and Scandic Hotels.

From the end of March 2009, rennovation work began on the existing venues of Mässhallen (Convention Hall) and Mälarsalen to create the leading conference and event venues in the Stockholm area. Around SEK 50 million has been allocated to the planned work.

The Mälarsalen area (containing the Banquet Hall, Alfred Nobel room, Astrid Lindgren room, August Strindberg lounge and also the Carl Milles room) are under construction from June until the end of August 2009. Mässhallen (The Convention Hall), as well as the Riddarsalen room are not affected by the rennovation work.

AFA and Mälarsalen AB have recently signed an agreement which guarantees the continuation of lease until 2019. Mälarsalen AB had for the financial year of 2008, a turnover of approximately SEK 33 million. For the past 10 years, the company has enjoyed a Triple A credit rating from D&B.
